So the other night Brady and I were enjoying apple slices and crunchy peanut butter and went to go brush our teeth and get ready for bed… when all of the sudden we realized we left a few slices unattended in the family room…

Anabelle wasn't as naive as her parents and this is the sight we walked into…

we almost had to use the jaws of life to get that apple slice out of those teeth!!!

Don't tell Mickey….  but I LOVED IT!  Becca and I ventured to Universal a few weeks ago for F-R-E-E!!!!  We chugged down yummy butter beers and got to ride the Harry Potter ride TWICE!!!  Everything there is pretty. stinkin. awesome.  It's missing pixie dust and the magic that our cast members bring to the theme park experience-- but they are doing something incredible down the road and I need to stop being so anti-universal all the time!

Don't get me wrong… I'm not rushing to sign up for a season pass or anything (get real)… BUT we had a great day and I'm looking forward to our next venture there!!!!

CARTER WAS HERE!!!!  Whenever the three of us are together again I'm instantly transported back to the summer when Carter lived with us and we played at K2 every night!!! (and we MIGHT have consumed ice cream, home made pizza and smores at least 6 nights every week)…

There's never a dull moment when Carter is around!  It's so fun watching him pursue his dreams and watching the Lord bless his incredible music ministry!  If you're looking for some fun tunes check out Carter Hulsey on iTunes… you won't be disappointed!

a fantastic training oportunity

One of my friends gets to start training for a really fun thing at the Walt Disney World Resorts!!  It's been a HUGE dream of hers since she was little…

She was out of town when we found out she was going to get to learn this important role so we took over her room and printed off sixty copies of her schedule so she wouldn't forget this very special day!!!  Her reaction was priceless!!!  Can't wait to watch her in her big debut!!!!


This was her fake-out on her door… we wanted her to think this is all we did for her!!!!!!!  :)

All you have to do is google those two little words and millions of responses come up with how to make the stuff at home…  

Butter beer is the non-alcoholic yummy goodness you can sip around as you enjoy Universal Studios… So Becca, Brady and I decided it would be a good idea to recreate this delicious treat!!!

First the frothy topping… heavy whipping cream, sugar and butterscotch flavoring.

Yummy insides, vanilla ice cream, cream soda, ice, butterscotch flavoring…

Put in a frozen mug and enjoy!!!

Our first attempt was a dud… but we just keep getting better!  By the time ya'll come to visit you'll think it's hogwarts in here!!!!!!!

when you make magic for a living...

You get to go into the parks very early in the morning and get to capture a shot like this with your camera….

This picture means so much to me because of my favorite "legend" I heard while working at Disneyland.  Apparently one of Walt's favorite quotes to tell people was, "The only dream of mine that won't come true is I dream to be three inches taller."

Legend has it that a few days before the grand opening of the Disneyland park in Anaheim, California… a small team of imagineers took Walt to the famous "partners" statue that sits right in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle.  They uncovered the beautiful statue and one leaned over and said, "Now ALL your dreams will come true."  They made the partner's statue "life size" (plus three additional inches)!

welcome to town square

Today is a big day around Magic Kingdom… Mickey, Minnie and the Disney's Storybook Princesses have found a new home RIGHT in the front of Main Street, USA in Town Square Theatre!  The new rooms are incredible… the lights are shining bright and the music sets the "stage" for the most incredible meet-and-greet you'll ever encounter!

I woke up bright and early this morning to watch Mickey and the gang open the new Theatre!!  I don't want to miss one bit of history I have the opportunity to witness!

Town Square Theatre will be Mickey and Minnie's permanent home here at Magic Kingdom, while the Princess meet-and-greet area is only temporary while we are waiting for the H-U-G-E fantastyland expansion due to open early Spring of 2012!!! :)
