WE ARE MOVING!

We're so excited about the new adventures that lie ahead in our new home!!!

Here are some of the "before" pictures… the previous owners took tremendous care of our home so luckily no big projects are in our near future-- but good 'ol timmy tim (aka my dad) is coming for a visit so we are going to use his handy-man services for sure!!!

We are so blessed to be able to call this new place our "home"… please join with us in prayer that this become a place where guests feel welcomed and loved and the Lord can do great works in our friends hearts when they visit here!! :)

However they are a lot harder to find then what you would think… I found one at an antique store that I l.o.v.e.d. but when I took it up to the owner she looked at me really weird… apparently it's hers, she uses it to hang things on the wall (lame).

So I've settled for this little gem I found at the same antique store… talked the same owner down to $4.00 (not lame at all) and I've been contemplating over what color it needs to be.

I found this unique color in SPRAY paint! (I love spray paint)

Spent $3.49 at Lowes (improving home improvement) and now look at this:

When you work in Orlando, Fl in the entertainment business… you become friends with some interesting people. Even people who walk around City Walk covered in mirrors… posing as a human disco ball…

This is my friend Olivia, she stayed with us throughout the month of July… I've kept the door to her room shut these past few days so I don't have to acknowledge that she actually left… I feel like Rose on the wood door, floating, and yelling "COME BACK!!!!!" PLEASE COME BACK OLIVIA!!!!

We spent her last night in town watching the Disco Ball and taking pictures next to this star… (oh we might have had an inpromptu photo shoot by the Universal Globe…)

We went to visit Leesburg, Fl (and Grandma Bert) a couple days ago to help her with her computer.

We left with smiles, full bellies and a little stow-away in the back seat.

This gem was from Lake Port Square when my Grandma's friend's decided to redecorate… my gma scored it for $5… I swiped it from her for free (by "swipe", I mean she gave it to me for free…)

Well I found this little picture on one of my DIY blogs that I MUST stop reading immediately…

and got a few ideas… I already loved the color of the chair gma gave us so this would be easy! :)

So we headed to Home Depot and bought the following:

A SAMPLE of paint: $2.97
Paint Brush: $1.99
Blue Tape: $7.49
Sander Blocks: $3.49

Grand Total: $15.94

I laid out garbage bags on our rented carpet and begun taping and covering every area that I knew I would eventually drip paint on…

I really felt like Tim Kinney's daughter when I used the bungee cord to hold the cushion in so I could paint behind there… Proud to be a Daddy's Girl! :)

I sanded the heck out of the thing-- the shiny, glossy finish came right up! PLUS I LOVE my new sander blocks… so much easier to maneuver than sand paper…

then I started the painting! I did two coats to make sure everything was completely covered… plus my brush strokes looked pretty nasty since I didn't spring for the $8.99 brush…

Brady picked out the whitish color I was going for… and I really loved the name of it :)

and voila! A shabby new chair! :)

so I get pink eye. Like seriously all the time.

This week was no exception.

On Monday a little cutie patootie face pie walked up to me with cute red hair and a blue sundress on. I looked deep in her eyes and an alarm went off *PINKEYEPINKEYEPINKEYEPINKEYE* but she had it in both eyes… weird. So I stayed cool. Didn't do the famous face-to-face hug and blew her a kiss and sent her on her way.

The next morning… I awoke to a little sumfin-sumfin hiding in the corner of my eye.

I've been out of work and missing it!!!!! Pink eye is not as fun as Elle Woods would think.

We had a great day yesterday! Brady got to be a part of all of Mosaic Church's festivities and I was able to make magic for guests spending their holiday with Mickey Mouse!

Imagine my surprise when I found out I got to be friends with the Easter Bunny on Easter!!! HOPPY EASTER TO ME!!!!!

We compared feet sizes… I don't think Mr. Easter Bunny and I will be sharing shoes anytime soon!

haunted mansion

Last month a new and exciting adventure opened up in the Haunted Mansion que line! When you get towards the front of the line you can choose to go right, straight towards the ride, or head to the left which takes you through a haunted interactive grave-yard.

This is all part of Disney's new "Next Generation Experience" and it is SO FUN to be here and watch all of these exciting new transitions happen!

Here's a tour through the haunted grave yard..

You are greeted by these heads with riddles on how they died… at least we think they are riddles… we couldn't even figure one out… so maybe they are just rhymes that don't make sense…

When you walk by this large wall, if you touch any of these instruments you can magically hear it play for you!

the haunted keyboard!! Just touch the keys and they will play… but they don't press down… weird.

this is fun… this grave spills water everywhere… as soon as you touch one of the holes then water comes out another escape…

This was our favorite! Voice recognition!! They would magically write out a death and we would have to figure out how it happened… usually they were pretty easy, but she wouldn't go on to the next one until we got it right! We were purposely saying the wrong answers and it still wouldn't move! It's so smart!!!!

So, just like the fork Anastasia comes to in her movie… I would recommend you "GO LEFT" next time you ride Haunted Mansion and tell all your friends you like to play in graveyards in your spare time…

So the other day started out just like any other normal day… until Brady and I ventured to our mailbox…

What was inside??? Well...

I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!! ALL OF OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS!!!!!!!!! BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!! I feel like we need to put ground rules on these so we don't use them up too fast! We are just too excited!!!!!

Last week a large group of us headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios to watch one of my favorite shows on property, FANTASMIC!

BELLE was in the show that night and she is my favorite of all time!!

We started the evening off with yummy peanut butter and jelly milkshakes from Prime Time Cafe (which, btw is such an incredible restaurant and one of my favorites on property!) Unfortunately Emily wasn't able to join us because she was working… LAME!

Then headed to watch the incredible BELLE perform!!!!

As you can see from the pictures, she totally stole the entire show…

flower and garden festival

Right now is Epcot's annual flower and garden festival! I was working with Belle the other day and we didn't want to miss the opportunity to have her picture taken with the beautiful Belle and Beast shaped bushes outside!

Epcot looks so beautiful covered in every color and species of flower on the planet!! Plus seeing all of your favorite disney characters in greenery-form is certainly entertaining!!

joel's birthday day

The BELLE woke Joel up with a special surprise! (Joel has a really big crush on Belle… the cartoon character… weird.)

Mickey wanted to celebrate with Joel and Brady couldn't WAIT to see his new meet-and-greet location. Mickey gave me a pat on the back and I could tell as I gazed into his eyes that he is really thankful to have me making magic for him… *sigh* I'm in love with a five foot mouse!!!!!

The whole birthday gang meeting Cinderella! You know your birthday is a big deal with CINDERELLA wants to have her picture taken with you on your birthday!

then we ended our day with a surprise visit to see Belle in her village dress at Cinderella's royal table! We were all blessed with free birthday ice cream and the most happiest birthday wishes from our dear friend and bookworm, Belle. Thanks for making Joel's birthday so special!

"I wasn't planning or expecting to visit with any characters during our latest trip to Disney World. We were only there for three days and had lots of things planned; special tours, dining reservations, etc. But as we finished our Around the World at Epcot tour, I saw Cinderella standing underneath a tree, with such a short line of people waiting to see her. Cinderella was the first Disney movie I ever saw, and I had the book version memorized before I ever learned how to read because I asked my mom to read it to me so often. I thought a picture with Cinderella would be a nice memory to share with my mom since the fairytale holds a special place in our hearts. When my turn came to meet her, I handed my camera to my husband so he could take the picture, and I stepped up to her. When she asked me if he was my prince, Disney magic took over me and I nearly started crying! It was such a wonderful and magical moment that I'll never forget."

JOEL IS OLDER!!!!!! We had a blast celebrating with him! Everyone was required to wear birthday pins as we ventured onto the town!!!

We ate a delicious birthday feast, made the most amazing yogurt creations sprinkled with birthday magic and ended the evening at one of our favorite restaurants!!!

"It was Christmas Eve a special pre-christmas surprise for my daughter Ryann. Her and I joined Princess Aurora for the highlight of our trip. her facial expressions were priceless. From the moment her name was announced as Princess Ryann, to getting her My Disney Girl doll, placing her napkin on her lap and seeing a friendship bracelet from Princess Aurora, the dance and of course the one on one time with Princess Aurora. I couldn't help the tears of joy as I took photos of her and everyone that was a part of that experience. She will remember it always and I will always remember her as my little princess. Thank you Princess Aurora!"

Oh, and Ohana also means AMAZING RESTAURANT AT THE POLYNESIAN RESORT! It was incredible! You get to eat all you can eat steak, shrimp, salad, bananas fosters, pineapple bread, noodles, chicken wings, veggies, etc.

YUMMY! Everything has a hawaiian-type glaze and the meat just melts in your mouth! Plus there's a great hula lady that dances with the kiddos and teaches you all sorts of crazy hawaiian words… so fun :)

On March 13th a very special thing was waiting for me as I checked into work… MY ONE YEAR PIN!!!! I honestly had tears in my eyes remembering back to one year ago on that day when I went through traditions and took my position in food and beverage at Disneyland!

Brady and I had worked so hard to make that dream turn into a reality and now 365 days later watching what the Lord has done with my Disney dream is an incredible journey I am unbelievably blessed to share with ya'll through this blog.

One of the greatest sights I've ever seen--

Don't tell Mickey…. but I LOVED IT! Becca and I ventured to Universal a few weeks ago for F-R-E-E!!!! We chugged down yummy butter beers and got to ride the Harry Potter ride TWICE!!! Everything there is pretty. stinkin. awesome. It's missing pixie dust and the magic that our cast members bring to the theme park experience-- but they are doing something incredible down the road and I need to stop being so anti-universal all the time!

Don't get me wrong… I'm not rushing to sign up for a season pass or anything (get real)… BUT we had a great day and I'm looking forward to our next venture there!!!!

CARTER WAS HERE!!!! Whenever the three of us are together again I'm instantly transported back to the summer when Carter lived with us and we played at K2 every night!!! (and we MIGHT have consumed ice cream, home made pizza and smores at least 6 nights every week)…

a fantastic training oportunity

One of my friends gets to start training for a really fun thing at the Walt Disney World Resorts!! It's been a HUGE dream of hers since she was little…

She was out of town when we found out she was going to get to learn this important role so we took over her room and printed off sixty copies of her schedule so she wouldn't forget this very special day!!! Her reaction was priceless!!! Can't wait to watch her in her big debut!!!!

This was her fake-out on her door… we wanted her to think this is all we did for her!!!!!!! :)

All you have to do is google those two little words and millions of responses come up with how to make the stuff at home…

Butter beer is the non-alcoholic yummy goodness you can sip around as you enjoy Universal Studios… So Becca, Brady and I decided it would be a good idea to recreate this delicious treat!!!

First the frothy topping… heavy whipping cream, sugar and butterscotch flavoring.

Yummy insides, vanilla ice cream, cream soda, ice, butterscotch flavoring…

Put in a frozen mug and enjoy!!!

Our first attempt was a dud… but we just keep getting better! By the time ya'll come to visit you'll think it's hogwarts in here!!!!!!!

This picture means so much to me because of my favorite "legend" I heard while working at Disneyland. Apparently one of Walt's favorite quotes to tell people was, "The only dream of mine that won't come true is I dream to be three inches taller."

Legend has it that a few days before the grand opening of the Disneyland park in Anaheim, California… a small team of imagineers took Walt to the famous "partners" statue that sits right in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle. They uncovered the beautiful statue and one leaned over and said, "Now ALL your dreams will come true." They made the partner's statue "life size" (plus three additional inches)!

Today is a big day around Magic Kingdom… Mickey, Minnie and the Disney's Storybook Princesses have found a new home RIGHT in the front of Main Street, USA in Town Square Theatre! The new rooms are incredible… the lights are shining bright and the music sets the "stage" for the most incredible meet-and-greet you'll ever encounter!

I woke up bright and early this morning to watch Mickey and the gang open the new Theatre!! I don't want to miss one bit of history I have the opportunity to witness!

Town Square Theatre will be Mickey and Minnie's permanent home here at Magic Kingdom, while the Princess meet-and-greet area is only temporary while we are waiting for the H-U-G-E fantastyland expansion due to open early Spring of 2012!!! :)

livvy has a birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LIVVY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

We celebrated…. all day we celebrated! I was so thankful to be a part of such a special and fun day, celebrating one of the greatest people I've ever met! OH LIVVY MY DEAR!!! I'M SO THANKFUL YOU WERE BORN!

We began the day shopping and spending time with Livvy's mum (three raise the roofs for wonderful family members in town from New Zealand!! WOOTY WOO), enjoyed some lovely cheesecake from the cheesecake factory… complete with four singing waiters--- what more could a 22 year old want in life?

Then headed to high tea at the grand floridian where we were treated like princesses and ate the tiniest sandwiches the world has ever seen…

then headed to dinner with the whole clan!!!

apparently it is super fancy to eat chicken and waffles…

While visiting in Quincy we got to attend the Beaux Arts Ball! It's so fun to watch Haley and Emily be apart of things that I loved so much! I'm so thankful we were able to be there to cheer them on!

They looked stunning and the evening was so much fun! :)

Everyone looked so lovely and it was such a perfect evening for such a fun tradition!! Haley sold over ninety tickets for the fundraiser!!! I was so proud of her!! Great job hales!!!!!

We were so thankful to be in Quincy the same time Haley and Emily performed the Annual Christmas Light show…

All the lights go dark in the QHS stadium and the Q-City Pommers come out with twinkly colored flashlights and make shapes on the gym floor… it's so fun to watch! We could totally tell Haley and Emily's twinkly lights from the rest… they were by far the best ones!

Today is the beginning of a new position for me at Disney World!

I'm so excited for training today and I can't wait!!!!

the quincy visit

So this is a few months old, but I just finished editing my pictures!!

Brady and I were so fortunate for being able to go to Quincy for my Grandfather's visitation and funeral. I'm so thankful we were able to be there to honor such an incredible man and spend time with such fun family!

My Aunt Sara was quite the hostess… I don't think the refrigerator door ever closed!! We had family members upon family members there constantly and a handful of cousins slept piled high on her basement floor! I felt 8 years old again! It was so fun! :)

Everytime Anabelle knows that it's almost time for us to leave, she tries to find a hiding spot.

Usually they are pretty weak sauce-- like… on the couch, or under the kitchen table with her head sticking out…

but yesterday I was looking ALL over for her… I had circled the apartment about three times when finally I looked on the OTHER side of our bed, all the way stuffed in the corner and found this little nugget…

On February 11th, we said goodbye to toontown and had one last big party outside all of our favorite classic character's homes!

Before the big party we went into adventureland and got my favorite ice cream- PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIPS! The most yummy soft serve on the planet!

This is in the greatest circus tent on the planet where you can choose to either meet your favorite disney princesses or disney fairies!

Valentine's day was great this year! I woke up to my favorite chocolate candy yummies, a freezer full of my favorite girl scout cookies and the most perfect card on the planet:

my husband is the knees to all the bees in the land.

Headed off to work where I saw Princess Aurora receive so many wonderful Valentine's day hugs and lovies…

then came home to a house full of people ready to celebrate the day of love. Cute little Brady went out and got little presents so we could do a Valentine's day gift exchange and everyone went home with a smile, a belly full of pink sweets and some type of fun gift from the target dollar spot.

my husband has yet to put my face back on from rocking it so much.

Today we say goodbye to Mickey's Toontown Fair!!! All of toontown will close today and that part of fantasyland won't be opening again until early 2013…

All of the princesses had a hard time saying goodbye! They've spent a lot of time in those circus tents getting to meet people from all over the world, laughing with little kiddos whose dreams came true with a single hug and making one magical memory after another…

It's always sad to see something come to an end… but how fun to be a part of new beginnings at such a magical place!

Last Friday we celebrated Emily's Birthday!!!!!!! We had a blast trying to find anything sparkly we could to celebrate such a fun gal!

I wrapped her gift in regular shipping paper, put glue designs on it and then sprinkled it with sparkles!!!! :)

So, as most of you probably know, almost all of our family members live in the midwest (with a highly concentrated area being Missouri/Illinois…). WELL, as most of you probably already know (again) there has been snow… and by "snow" I probably should say, "SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"!

Brandon Bill was in town for the last few days and we had a BLAST reminiscing and literally doubling over with laughter! He is one of most genuine people and I'm so thankful he and his wife are planning on moving where you can have the magic kingdom fireworks in your backyard! :)

Before I took him to the airport we went to play some Winter-Summerland putt-putt… we started keeping score, but around hole 10 I stopped… I had FOUR HOLE IN ONES!!!! I didn't want to embarrass the visiting team, so we called it a "tie" in the end… (tee hee tee hee)

Last night I went to BOMA-- THE greatest buffet you will EVER go to! Seriously… this food is incredible. It's located right off the main lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge and has such a fun african flair to it. Not to mention everything you put on your plate is AH-MAZ-ING!!!!!!!

To top it all off I was accompanied by three fellow movie-riders (flashback: I worked The Great Movie Ride in 2005 on my college program)… since that time we will have all moved back here within a year and a half of each other! MAGIC!

Good food, good company, magical place that makes all this happen! :) I'm a happy girl!

Richard Haley "Dick" Thomas died on Monday (Dec. 13, 2010) in Quincy, surrounded by his family. He was 82.
He was born in Quincy on Sept. 6, 1928.

Dick Thomas knew electricity. His jobs were measured in amps, volts and watts, but anyone who knew Dick Thomas knew the true current of his life was measured in hard work, love and service to God.

Dick spent his working years in the electrical field as co-owner of Mac's Limited Electrical Contractors, but his life's work was service to his church and love of family.

For 75 years he was an active, devoted member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church. He gave freely and cheerfully of his time and talents to the church and served in numerous positions including Sunday school superintendent, member of the Double Ring Sunday School class, member of the building committee and member of the church trustees. Dick served on the board of MacMurray College and was chairman of the board for Chaddock. He passionately supported Sunset Home as a board member and donor. He was an enthusiastic Quincy Blue Devil fan, and loved to walk, golf, play tennis and racquetball.

Dick had a heart for service, but his greatest love was reserved for family. He and Betty Taylor were married Aug. 14, 1949 at Vermont Street United Methodist Church. They have been married for 61 years and have six children.

Dick loved taking the family and friends to their place at the Lake of the Ozarks to spend time together boating, skiing and having fun. Later in life, he enjoyed attending any event if one of his grandchildren was involved.

Dick is survived by his wife, Betty Thomas of Quincy; his children, Rick Thomas and his wife, Linda, of Decatur, Karen Kinney and her husband, Tim, of Camdenton, Mo., Bruce Thomas and his wife, Kathy, of Quincy, Ross Thomas and his wife, Gayla, of Ballwin, Mo., Jeff Thomas and his wife, Karen, of Quincy, and Sara Meyer and her husband, Eric, of Quincy; grandchildren, Jason Thomas and his wife, Jennifer, Lindsay Raich and her husband, Nick, Jessica Bach and her husband, Andrew, Nathan Kinney and his fiance', Chaela Shannon, Jennafer White and her husband, Brady, Ryan Thomas and his wife, Sarah, Tara Gardner and her husband, Kyle, Ian Thomas and his fiance', Trisha Vieregge, Meghan Grimmer and her husband, Brian, Kameron Thomas, Raegan Thomas, Kirsten Thomas, Linda Meckem and her husband, David, Kristen Zahm and her husband, Derek, Steven Thomas, Lauren Thomas, Haley Meyer, Emily Meyer, Andrew Meyer; a nephew, Kent McCormick and his wife, Linda; and 10 great-grandchildren.

My Grandpa was an INCREDIBLE man-- if you haven't figured it out already by his obituary. I could only hope my obituary will be a tenth of what the above reads. It was the strangest thing when I got the call that he died… I felt like I was walking through Jell-O the whole next day. I remember telling my sister that I felt like hair gel bubbles… (what on earth does that even mean???) Even though we all knew it was coming, and none of us wanted him to suffer anymore, it just felt so awful!

Grandpa never missed a show of mine, always sat next to me at Nate's hundreds of baseball games and always had a seat saved in the top row of the bleachers to watch Jessica cheer. (keep in mind, that's just THREE of his MANY grandkids) He always had WAY more milk than I could ever drink in the fridge for me and NEVER said no to ice cream! (maybe I owe my thighs, hips and love of ice cream to him in some way???)

Through some amazing people we were able to fly home a few days after and were able to be there for the visitation and funeral. The visitation lasted for four hours and the line didn't stop one time. Hundreds of people came to pay their respects to one of the greatest men that ever lived… a man that I was blessed to be able to call "Grandpa".

Being with the whole family was so comforting and incredible. The older cousins shared stories of Grandpa's earlier years with the younger cousins, I got to sing Grandpa's favorite hymn, "how great thou art", with my cousin, Emily and we got to cry and laugh together as we celebrated the amazing example my Grandpa led for us.

It's an indescribable feeling when you know someone you love so dearly is up in heaven with Jesus. I don't know what heaven's like, but I like to think we'll have solid-gold mansions right next door to each other… (and we will play yahtzee every night on our back porches-- and he'll probably still win)

Boy did we celebrate!!!!!! Brady wisked me away after work and took me to a SURPRISE sushi date in Orlando. On our 3rd anniversary we ate at the "BEST" sushi restaurant on the west coast… on our 4th anniversary he took me to the "BEST" sushi restaurant on the east coast… :) Wonder where we will be living next year to continue the tradition!?!?!?

As you know, I've been the worst of the worst at blogging so (go figure) I forgot to take a picture of the main presentation… but here is our leftovers!!!! (please notice the Mickey and Minnie Anniversary button!!)

Then we finished our evening at Pinkberry-- yumm, no matter how full you are, you always have room for frozen yogurt with yummy toppings on it. Trust me, it's a proven fact.

*insert billy mays voice here*BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE-- I come home to a little summthin summthin in my guest closet!!!!! MY DREAM BOOKSHELF!!! I've been having my eyes on this little red number for quite some time at my favorite store IKEA and now it is proudly holding my kitchen belongings! GREAT SURPRISE BRADY! TWO LEFT HAND RING FINGERS WAY WAY WAY UP FOR BEING THE BEST HUSBAND EVER!!!!!!!!!

Princess Aurora LOVES getting to meet all of the little princesses who attend the Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian! Little girls and their moms show up dressed very fancy and get to have tea with "Rose Petal" who sings and tells the story of Princess Aurora. Then Aurora gets to come, dance with the tiny princesses and shares tea with them! It's so magical and super fun!

the best four years

Four years ago I promised to love Brady for the rest of our lives, to die to myself everyday and put his needs before my own and to cherish everything about the man that God gave to me.

I've failed everyday at the above things and he has forgiven me always. I can say whole-heartedly that I ADORE Brady with all of my heart. He is incredible and lives up to everything he promised me on January 27, 2007. This past year he has been the most incredible SUPPORTER and an unbelievable cheerleader to me. We've had a crazy year of moving and starting new jobs and moving and starting new jobs again and I know I would have NEVER had the courage to do any of that with out his incredible gift of encouragement he gives me everyday.

I don't know what I ever did to deserve the most unselfish, giving, and loyal husband in the world… but I am so thankful!

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life! I'm so incredibly blessed by you everyday!

Thanks for making me better!

We brought in the Christmas season by celebrating with Mickey Mouse and all of our fun friends! It is incredible! They shut down the park early and open it as a special ticketed event. Free cookies and hot chocolate, a zillion characters, a special Christmas parade and LOTS of magic!

It's been really bad. Brady and I have been eye-ball deep in one million different things… the other day I almost slept twenty four hours straight… I'm working a ton… Brady is getting the opportunity to speak at least once a week… it's just been BUSY!

So we needed coffee… so we ventured to our nearest Starbucks, where they have a "cute" little "where did you come from" map… I was so excited for Livvy to be the first NZer to post a pin… when we discovered why American's have never heard of New Zealand…

Then I introduced her to Sonic… where we sat in the car for 12 minutes to wait to order til happy hour… oh yes, we were those kind of Americans.

oh and I'm not going to tell you if we ordered 6 things off the dollar menu and created our own buffet-style drive-in experience… just to truly Americanize her stay here.

So the other night I was cleaning (oh, by "cleaning" I mean "crawling in bed to take a nap") when someone walked through the door… (PS- walk ins have always been a HUGE prayer request of mine… and guess what… people WALK in our apartment now… they don't knock, they don't call, they don't wipe their feet and it's INCREDIBLE! I mean, I can't walk around in my unmentionables anymore, well I can… I just need to make sure it's dead-bolted first… but other than that.. it TRULY is a dream come true… and a HUGE answer to prayer)… hehehe… can you say "TANGENT"…

anyway, someone comes through my door carrying a personalized size vanilla cake with chocolate pudding in the middle.

My friend Bridget surprised me with cake. Then brought it to my house without calling.

Pretty sure this was top five greatest moments of my life.

My friend Amber invited us to go watch the Christmas filming on Saturday morning… but I work all day Saturday so that wouldn't work and I was really sad.

Then Livvy called and invited me to watch the Christmas filming on Friday morning… and I had the day off… enter this fantastic story.

(please guard your eyes from this magic-ruining moment) The Disney Christmas parade is NOT filmed on Christmas.

I know. It's awful. They lie.

But the good news is-- I GOT TO WATCH SOME OF IT. I saw Ryan Seacrest and was totally within arms distance of him and took one hundred videos to prove it.

But the OTHER bad news is-- I couldn't find Livvy… I mean, she was NO WHERE to be found…

But I did find this cute penguin (the one all the way on the left hand side)

… it was most definitely the CUTEST of all the penguins and is now Beyonce-status FAMOUS because this penguin was FILMED and will be on ABC Christmas morning… perhaps we should notify New Zealand of this fantastic penguin maybe???? Do New Zealanders like penguins??? I should ask one.

Last week at work my friend Lindsey and I got to be Character Attendants for the day! It is HARD work and unfortunately, guests ask the silliest questions (by "silly", I really mean "dumb"). I'm so glad I got to do a day of work from their point of view-- I've always realized how hard their job is, but now I have a NEW found appreciation for it!

It was incredible to get the opportunity to see a Character setting from their point of view. It was also really neat to hear how excited guests are to meet Disney Characters-- I'm so proud of the job that I get to do everyday and LOVE that people appreciate it.

Oh, and yes… that is an earpiece in my ear… you better believe I was "over and out", "10-4", "What's your 20?" and "do you copy"ing all over the place… yes, I'm a pretty big deal in my blue shirt and ear piece.

We have been needing hand towels for the guest bathroom-- but on an extremely tight budget, christmas and my car battery being crazy… I can't even tell you how far down on the list "hand towels" were… until I accompanied Livvy on her "operation find vintage clothing" outing. I was browsing through some old house wear items when I came across these two old beat up towels for $0.25 a piece…

And 'tis the season to go all "Charlie Brown" on old, beat-up, ratty things… so I thought… let's cut these up… be a DIY human and sew up the edges (oh yes, don't forget that I have my own sewing machine…) and enjoy these vintage pattern terry clothes hanging on my hand towel ring (that Tim so nicely installed while he and my mom were visiting… two roof raises for my dad being the handiest guy in the world.)

VOILA!!!!!!!!! Charlie Brown would be so proud!

On Monday nights here at the White ~~Castle~~ House we host the most rocking awesome life group you will ever know (we are still taking applications so if you think you fit our "rock-star" status, stop on by at 8PM on Mondays, we hang out, watch movies, talk about Jesus and laugh.)

Well this week we decided to watch Elf after meeting and saw all the incredible snow flakes Buddy was making when Kourtney came up with the brilliant idea that WE should make Buddy the Elf snowflakes… so we did… this is us in the beginning phases…

I made one for the cutest dog that comes to lifegroup. She thought it was so beautiful she wan't to do a mini-photo shoot with her own snowflake-- I didn't argue.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT! (there is room for more… so if you have a little elf-blood in you… or perhaps just pointy ears and a love for Christmas, send us your best snowflake and we will hang in proudly in our living room!

We have fleas.

It's gross.

Anabelle has been blessing us with cuteness for five years now and she has NEVER had fleas. I don't know why. I mean, clearly, if I was a disgusting little flea I would love nothing more than to hang out on cute little moo's furry tummy… but for some reason she has been exempt from them for five years. Then we move to Mickeyville and she is covered. grossy grosserson…

We took her to the vet today and I LOVED Dr. Pierce at Windermere Animal Clinic. We have NEVER had a vet that sat and chatted with us as much as he did. :) I know Anabelle is in good paws with him!

So today is operation kill the fleas day… I'm all itchy just thinking about it! Any tips are welcome on how to get them out of our home sweet home!

Every other Sunday night our pastor and his wife host "IRON CHEF" night. Four "teams" are assigned a secret ingredient and they have to come up with a dish that includes that ingredient! They are judged VERY harshly and it is extremely competitive!

Once the winner of the night is announced we all dig in and get to try their creations and watch that weeks episode of Iron Chef! It's fantastic!

Last week the secret ingredient was calloflower… surprisingly it turned out great and I really liked everything I tried!

I'm not about to volunteer anytime soon to cook though-- it's too brutal for me! :) I'll stick with my Kraft Mac 'n Cheese and frozen pizza :)

I am LOVING doing my Christmas shopping at Disney this year. It causes Brady and I to have to go to Downtown Disney, Magic Kingdom and Epcot many times to try to find that perfect gift for everyone! :)

While traveling around the world in Epcot we found our first big gingerbread house!

Disney puts Gingerbread homes up all over property! I can't wait to go look at all of them! :)

We had to stop and get our Mexico nachos-- a GREAT snack if you are in Epcot… less than $10 and could easily feed three people! :)

Thanksgiving night, Lindsey, Livvy and Olivia spent the night so we could head to Target at 3:00AM! :)

None of us were looking for anything specific, so it was pretty silly for us to go and browse around with the crazies… but it was Livvy's first black friday experience so we couldn't pass it up. Everyone was in their most bargain-hunting state and the people-watching that went on… let's just say, did not disappoint!

We came back to our apartment. Slept for 8 hours and woke up to start making a Thanksgiving feast! We invited all of our work friends who don't have family here to celebrate Livvy's first Thanksgiving!!!!

You better believe if you come to a Thanksgiving meal at my house you wear an indian headress.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I know… I know…. it's December 1st… but when have you ever known the adventures of Brady, Jen and the Moo to post on time??? It just wouldn't be right. So happy December 1st… holy cow can't believe it's already December… but back to thanksgiving now.

We spent the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving at Pops and GoGo's house! We loved getting to see our family and it truly felt like the holidays with us all piled under one roof and wrapping paper everywhere!!

Uncle Brady is the coolest :)

My dad came up to spend the day with us-- pretty much made my holiday absolutely perfect! Could not have asked for more!!! :)

We had a ~~tea~~ hot chocolate party.

We celebrated DAX-- he's a whopping SIX YEARS OLD!!

Oh yes folks… this is the Branson airport… it's Bass Pro themed! There are animal tracks on the ground.

ACTUAL Thanksgiving day was spent with these three girls! We had a blast!

HANSON CAME TO EPCOT!!! Hanson was the coolest band when I was in sixth grade! I remember getting in trouble for hanging a Hanson poster on the wall above my bed… haha-- Livvy, Thomas and I went and spent the evening walking around the countries and dancing to Hanson songs-- so fun :)

HO HO HO!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

1101 Is ready for SANTA! :) I weeded through my Christmas music… picked out the top 100… made a "christmastime" playlist and went. to. town.

When Brady and I decided to stop pursing music… it happened pretty suddenly. And it left us with a TON of left over shirts. We hung on to them… dragged them to California… hauled them to Florida… found a place to store them. I just couldn't get rid of them. I had watched the Lord do INCREDIBLE things through these mounds of multi-colored cotton clothing and they were more than just "MERCH" to me.

However the Lord really was working on my heart the other day… the way that He uses these shirts is by people WEARING them… so how on earth can we spread the message of the crazy amount of poverty our world is up against without people telling other people…

A few nights ago Lindsay and I literally SPRINTED through Magic Kingdom to catch the first glimpse of the Fairy Godmother lighting Cinderella's castle.

We both had chills the whole time! It is SO magical!! :) Cindy knows how to decorate during the holiday season! :)

When walking into the magic kingdom your family might be randomly selected to enter a room and be greeted by Cinderella herself! :) The other day Aurora had the opportunity to help Cindy welcome her guests into her kingdom and it was so much fun!!!! I must say, it is WAY more fun to watch mom's enter the room than the little girls!!

Last week I was working at Magic Kingdom when I was asked to go clean the "teacups" room. So I grabbed a friend, bleach and towels and headed to go make this break room sparkle! :) But upon walking in I found tons of managers and some sort of "celebration"… we had accidentally walked in on the Quarterly Award party! I immediately started walking back to the door, told a nearby manager that I would come back to clean and apologized for walking in when they said it was fine if we stayed. So we cowered in the corner (to not get in the way) as we listened to them explain what the Quarterly Award means and about the person who was receiving it.

When SURPRISE-- it was for me!

I was in complete shock and totally humbled!! I may be too famous to blog anymore… I'm sure I'll have my assistants to it for me from now on! :) hehe

Last week I had the privilege of working with Mr. Penguin for the first time! Mary Poppins was SO delightful and super kind to her penguin-friends! We had fun penguin races, jumped in the puddles, and stepped in time together!!!!!!!!!!!!

The other day a few friends and me decided to go visit the characters from The Princess and the Frog! I hadn't met them yet and absolutely LOVED their interactions! Tiana would say "Bye You" (bayou) to everyone… hysterical! :) And Navine completely stole the show-- I overheard him telling a 2-year-old boy that when he was two years old he already had six girlfriends… :)

POPS AND GOGO WERE HERE!!!!!! We had a blast! They were only here for a few short days, but we PACKED them full of magic and pixie dust! Being with these two is so comforting and refreshing!! WE LOVED IT! Living at the happiest place on earth has it perks… LOVELY PEOPLE COME TO VISIT YOU! We LOVE visitors!!!!!!

I've been working for the mouse for eight months now… and today I took my first sick day. My throat is on fire!!!!!!!!!

Plus side== I feel pretty nifty that I'm officially a big girl and I'm actually getting paid to be sick and eat soup.

AND the Lord is doing quite a number on me because I was beginning to feel very prideful about my lack of "points"… (Mickey does a point system to make sure that his cast members aren't calling in all the time).

So… CHEERS to having to humble myself and call magic kingdom and tell them my throat feels like the part of The Lion King where Mufasa get's trampled to death.

Last night while making magic in toontown at Magic Kingdom I was ending my night with the last few families.

Two little girls dressed from hair-bows to socks alike strolled up to Princess Aurora with "I'M CELEBRATING" buttons on. Aurora asked them, "what are you celebrating today?"

The little girls looked at each other and one shyly responded… "My daddy just came home."

"Where was your king visiting?" Princess Aurora asked.

The girls looked at their dad and back to the princess and said, "He was in Afghanistan."

Lord, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to love on such sweet little girls and for giving this family a place to begin this new season of life in a fun environment. VEGAS HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow we had a blast. The highlights were defiantly being able to spend time with family, seeing VIVA LA ELVIS (total crush on him), the S.P.A…. sigh… and seeing Brady's cute little car coming around the corner to pick me up at the end!

These girls trips are something I look forward to every year! So glad I was able to be a part of it in 2010!!!! :)

Tim and Karen have departed. Our home feels empty!!

We had a BLAST having my mom and dad around Florida for a while! I think we totally sold them on the sunshine state-- I'm sure they are looking into homes as I type this!

mystery dinner

Brady and I attended our first Mystery Dinner!!!!! There were SO many fun people there and hopefully our church youth group was able to raise a lot of money for their summer mission trips!

If I wasn't already in love with our church enough, this sealed the deal-- people went ALL OUT with their costumes! It was so fun to try to guess who everyone was.

We didn't win prizes, but Brady was definitely the cutest one there! He didn't stop shaking his tail feather the whole night!
